The Coca-Cola Company has given itself a fresh coat of red while sipping into the familiarity. In its brand overhaul, it is betting that the visual cues that have made it instantly recognizable for generations have plenty of fizz left.
The new global visual identity system is built around the idea of making “Coca-Cola more Coca-Cola.” Rolling out across more than 200 markets, the refreshed branding aims to create a more unified look across packaging, retail displays, vending equipment, and digital platforms.
The updated design has already appeared in select markets across Europe, the Middle East, and India, with Latin America and Asia scheduled to follow before the worldwide rollout continues through 2027.

Instead of replacing its signature appearance, the company has chosen to emphasize long-standing elements of the brand. Its familiar red-and-white color palette takes center stage alongside a more prominent Dynamic Ribbon, the Arden Square, and the Spencerian Script logo. The design system is intended to make Coca-Cola products feel more visually consistent wherever they’re sold.

“This evolution celebrates our legacy while looking to the future, delivering a single, bold brand experience that reinforces Coca-Cola’s heritage and confident global presence,” said Rapha Abreu, Global Vice President, Design at The Coca-Cola Company.

The refresh also introduces clearer visual distinctions between Coca-Cola’s product variants. Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, for example, will become easier to identify thanks to larger “Zero Sugar” lettering, a black Dynamic Ribbon on cans, and black bottle caps. These changes are intended to help consumers quickly tell the products apart while maintaining a cohesive family appearance.

Abreu added, “For over a century, Coca-Cola has been more than a drink, it’s been a global symbol of optimism and authenticity. Now, with one seamless visual identity, we can deliver one recognizable brand experience to consumers.”

Behind the scenes, Coca-Cola is also updating the way its branding is managed. The company has launched an immersive Brand Center and a suite of Design Intelligence tools for its internal creative teams and agency partners. These resources are designed to help maintain consistency as campaigns and packaging are adapted for different markets around the world.

The redesign involved a wide network of creative collaborators. Packaging systems were developed with The Superultrarare, while global branding agency JKR led the visual identity. Brody Associates handled typography, photographers Guy Aroch, Anna Palma, and Martin Wonnacott established updated photography standards, Forpeople and Monks created the Brand Center, and Adobe supported the governance tools. Separately, the 2026 Same Great Taste, New Look campaign was produced by WPP Open X with support from Ogilvy, WPP Production, and WPP Media.

The latest update isn’t changing the recipe; it’s making sure Coca-Cola visually pops over time.
