Adobe’s Improved Content-Aware Fill Tool Fixes Spots More Accurately & Vividly

‘Content-Aware Fill’ is one of Photoshop’s most quintessential tool, but it comes with its own set of visual hiccups—oftentimes when you use it, you’ll find patches of almost identical patterns in your photos.

Adobe acknowledges this common problem, and has combatted it with a more advanced tool: ‘Scene Stitch’.

Demonstrated by researcher Brian Price at Adobe MAX 2017, the ‘Sensei’-powered tool fills “holes” by looking through other images to find new graphic elements. Here, Price draws his database from Adobe Stock.
