Late last year, you saw Shutterstock’s key graphic design trends that designers should look out for in 2018, many of which overlapped with another recently featured video covering 15 graphic design trends for 2018.

As the New Year kicks into gear, Shutterstock unveils 2018’s biggest creative trends that will influence design through its visually arresting report—now into its seventh year.

“The major trends identified in this report from Fantasy to New Minimalism are determined by analyzing billions of searches within Shutterstock’s collection of 170 million images by customers including those in the advertising, film, and media industries. The data gathered over the past year across images, videos, and music helped to determine the standout ideas and concepts that we believe will influence creative direction and design aesthetics in 2018,” explained the brand inside a press release.

Of the 11 styles highlighted inside the assemblage, the top three major trends include ‘Fantasy’, ‘New Minimalism’ and the sci-fi genre ‘Space’.
