A recent report by Bloomberg, who cited sources “familiar with” Apple’s products, said that the company is “considering a gold color option” for two of iPhone X’s 2018 successors.

Just an hour after the article got out, a Twitter user by the name of ‘Mr·white‏’ posted a photo showing what appears to be a gold iPhone X.

Bloomberg noted that every model since the iPhone 5s, including the iPhone 8, included a gold-hued version. The iPhone X, however, is the first one in years that doesn’t have that option. The report alluded this to “production problems.”

Apple might enjoy a considerable boom in sales should iPhone X’s 2018 sequels arrive with a gold option. The color is a popular choice in Asia—plus the iPhone is the second-best selling smartphone in a sea of more affordable copycats in China. In 2017, the company earned US$9.8 billion in revenue from the country alone.

As a refresher, the brand is reportedly making three iPhone X-like phones in 2018, one of which is a “budget” model.
