The mission of museums has certainly changed—they're no longer just hallowed halls of art. Now, museums have to become more engaging and interactive to the masses in order to justify their funding.
It seems that surveillance cameras alone aren't enough; some museums have actually employed stealth observers to watch the actions of their visitors. Shades of Google, anyone?
Well at least the museums are open about it. The collected data is (ostensibly) being used to change how exhibits are arranged and displayed. Sounds innocuous enough, but you'd never know.
