Contrary to popular belief, the Internet has not killed the TV. For now at least.
The Guardian reports that the TV-viewing hours of UK viewers have actually increased by 3% in 2009—that's an average of 3 hours and 45 minutes more than the viewing hours in 2004.
The increase has been attributed to the popularity of evening television shows such as Doctor Who and Britain's Got Talent.
BBC is trying to combat illegal downloading of the Mad Men series by screening its fourth season four months ahead of its typical schedule. British viewers will be able to watch the newest installment on September, just a month after the American premiere date.
