Technology is bad for you—or at least we shouldn’t be spending all our time on it. Ad agency Digo wants you to observe ‘No Device Day’ on 18 September, when we all collectively switch off our mobile phones and laptops. Yeah, it sounds impossible.
Especially since a study cited in a Wall Street Journal article found out we are actually polite to these machines. We get emotional over them; anger, love, lust (OK, maybe not lust). Still, it’d be very, very hard to stop using those gadgets.
One thing’s for sure, though. The huge contact databases that phones ship with nowadays mean the need to remember phone numbers is as quaint a thought as popping by the record store to check out the new album releases.
