PRESS RELEASE

February 2009

Bulgarian artist and filmmaker, Nikola Raykov, hopes to direct his first feature film by selling words key to online advertising.

The 27-year-old has a few awarded and published stories ranging in genres from fantasy to drama. He has also directed some commercials and documentaries and besides all that, runs a small web design company with his wife. Still, his big dream is producing that feature film which will be based on his award-winning screenplay titled ‘Enter.’

The story tells of a desperate young man, who awakens trapped in a bizarre labyrinth, with amnesia–sets out to solve the puzzle and find a way out, but has to play by the illogical rules of this nightmarish world and its quirky inhabitants.

To get closer to his goal of producing the feature, Raykov has launched an innovative website based on the premise that the most important words on the Web are the ones advertisers would pay for.

1000wordsforsale.com, presents those words to users in an interactive fashion as they spin in virtual space following the control of the mouse pointer.

Should an advertiser be willing to pay $100 for a word of choice, that purchased word would be linked to the advertiser’s website for ten years, potentially trawling in more traffic. The advertiser can choose to resell the word as well, keeping half of what is charged.

Bulgarian companies have been the first customers since the site’s launch earlier in February.
Among them are a nightclub, a properties selling website and an industrial power equipment repair company.

"At a price of $10/year this might turn out to be the cheapest and most effective advertising you have ever done" says Nikola Raykov.

Only the future will show if ‘Enter’ will be eventually shot through these earnings.
