Google Launches Person Finder for Japan Earthquake, Tsunami

In response to the 8.9-magnitude earthquake and the resulting tsunami that hit Japan, Google has launched its Person Finder tool to help people look for missing friends and family.
The internet company had previously done the same after the Christchurch and Haiti earthquakes. On it, people can report the whereabouts of missing people as well as search through those records.
At the time of this report, there are about 1,000 records uploaded onto Google's tool.
