Twitter Attempted To Acquire iPhone App Camera+
According to PetaPixel, Twitter has failed to acquire popular iPhone app Camera+ after a breakdown in negotiations.
This was after Twitter narrowly missed out on Instagram, which was acquired by social networking rival Facebook just last month.
Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey met with the developers of Camera+ tap tap tap to discuss the possibility of an acquisition.
However, it was not successful as employees of Camera+—who were located worldwide—were reluctant to move to San Francisco, where Twitter is based.
Camera+ is one of the most popular paid iPhone apps that has been downloaded 7.5 million times in two years, and costs US$0.99.
