ASM International invites you to a series of national workshops exploring metals and polymers for product design. The workshops, which will take place in four national cities between July 12 and November 30, will provide participants with the knowledge and tools needed to combine the art and science of materials selection for their designs. The instructors, Kiersten Muenchinger and John Peppler, will help those in attendance distinguish properties of various metal and polymer materials, choose appropriate base materials and finishes to create visual and tactile product aesthetics, and recognize how variation of the form selected impacts the choice of materials and manufacturing processes. The workshop invites industrial and product designers, design researchers, project managers, sales and marketing representatives, and artist to this series of workshops.

August 9 - 10 San Francisco, CA
September 26 - 27 Boston, MA
November 29 - 30 Cleveland, OH
