Announcing the Winners of 10TouchPoints
Between November 2006 and February 2007, Singaporeans were given the opportunity to
improve the surroundings and how we live. By nominating and voting for 'touchpoints'—items
and objects encountered on a daily basis—in Phase 1 of 10TouchPoints, the public identified 10
items that they would most like to see redesigned.
With this, Singapore accepted the invitation to kick-start the redesign process, where the
public's input led to a call for designers to respond with good design.
In Phase 2 of the design competition, 113 designers took up the challenge by submitting their
design proposals. They have investigated the existing problems, explored solutions and
envisioned a better way to how we can experience everyday lives in Singapore.
And it is now time to unveil these winning designs and the designers behind them.
