A series of networking events to explore the wider influence of fashion, and the potential synergies between fashion, materials science and technology, hosted by The Centre for Fashion, the Body and Material Cultures, and The Intelligent Media Initiative, University of the Arts London (UAL) in collaboration with The Materials and Design Exchange (MaDE), a node of the Materials KTN.
The overall aim of the networking events is to raise the profile and awareness of the value that fashion and design can bring to the development and commercialisation of new products and materials amongst the science and technology communities (HEIs and industry).
The events will provide an opportunity for science and technology professionals and academics, industry representatives and fashion and design practitioners to meet and explore the different perspectives that design can bring to innovation and problem solving.
