NEW YORK, -- The William Kaufman Organization and Sage Realty are pleased to announce that their office building, 437 Madison Avenue, home to the Advertising Walk of Fame, will play host to a ceremony honoring this year's inductees as part of this year's Advertising Week 2005 festivities. The ceremony will mark the culmination of the annual Ad Week "Procession of Great Icons" parade, which starts at Times Square and wends its way up Madison to the heart of the advertising industry, 437 Madison at East 50th Street.
Robert Kaufman said, "Madison Avenue means advertising to people the world over. I can't imagine a more appropriate location for the hub of this new Walk of Fame than in front of the 437 Madison building, home of the Omnicom Group, the world's largest ad agency and the largest ad agency on Madison Avenue. Our entire organization is proud to host this induction ceremony for this great New York City institution."
The Madison Avenue Advertising Walk of Fame is located in the tower's black granite plaza defined by raised granite benches and ornate lampposts.
Completed in 1967 and designed in the modernist style by renowned architects Emery Roth & Sons, 437 Madison is contemporary in appearance and, thanks to Sage's signature meticulous maintenance and capital improvement program, it is competitive with the newest buildings in New York City.
In addition to the Omnicom Group, tenants include CNBC, Carnegie Corporation of New York, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund and Nixon Peabody LLP, among others.
Founded in 1924, the William Kaufman Organization is today directed by Melvyn and Robert Kaufman. For more information on this innovative company, see http://www.sagerealty.com and
