Die Gestalten Curates Architecture and Design Symposium
PRESS RELEASE

Die Gestalten Curates Architecture and Design Symposium: The Design Hotels Future Forum 07, New Shelter

Nowadays there is a well-known pluralism of interdisciplinary genres, where one doesn't go without the other: design, architecture, art and culture, even food & beverages are all part of one creative approach. Although this might be common knowledge, there is one important question left - what about the future? Get all the answers at Design Hotels Future Forum 07: New Shelter in Barcelona on September 27th.

To top it all this year's annual architecture and design symposium is curated by dgv's publisher Robert Klanten. Using the background, knowledge and insight into contemporary visual culture we have accumulated over the years, he is putting together a stimulating program of inspiring international speakers from our extensive network of talented designers and artists for Future Forum 07: New Shelter.

Since the way in which people travel is readily changing as well as their ecological awareness, the needs and expectations for hospitality change as well. The various labs at Future Forum 07: New Shelter are designed to inspire and foster new holistic ideas in the fields of architecture, art and culture, design and food and beverage. Here they are:

Lab 1: Food & Beverage: A Taste of the Future
This lab will address this key question: Is the kitchen coming to the guest or is the guest coming into the kitchen? It will investigate how to attract the guest with new food and beverage concepts.

Lab 2: Architecture: The Future of Space
The perception, relevance and operations of architecture are changing; endurance and sustainability in architecture and interior design are becoming key issues. Given this background, this lab will investigate how current technology and mobility are demanding and inspiring new sustainable concepts and forms of architecture, interior design and marketing.

Lab 3: Art & Culture: The Future of Experience
In a world of multimedia communication, personal experience and atmosphere need to be rethought and redefined; tangible and sensual impressions are becoming increasingly important. With this evolution in mind, this lab will investigate how classical environments in hotels and travel destinations must change to create unique personal experiences that redefine relationships among partners or customers and brands.

Lab 4: Design: The Future Style
This lab will present how contemporary designers are working in various disciplines, simultaneously crossing and dissolving the boundaries between product design, interior design, visual culture and art. It will also investigate how designers keep international brands cutting-edge in terms of both innovation and recognizability while simultaneously addressing their growing needs for ecological awareness and product sustainability.
