MacWorld, PC Magazine praise Lexmark X500n, X502n for fast, affordable, high-quality output
LEXINGTON, Ky. - Oct, 2007 - Leading technology publications MacWorld and PC Magazine have recently praised color laser multifunction product (MFP) offerings from Lexmark International, Inc. (NYSE: LXK).
MacWorld gave the Lexmark X500n a four-mice rating, describing the X500n as an "inexpensive color laser MFP [that] delivers solid results." MacWorld praised the X500n, saying "the X500n's copier is easy to use and straightforward," "even better news is that the scan quality is impressive," and "the X500n has surprisingly fast print speeds for an MFP of its price."
Available for $499*, the X500n prints at speeds up to 31 pages per minute (ppm) in black and eight ppm in color and also features copy and scan functionality. "At $499, the Lexmark X500n is a bargain for a device of its kind," MacWorld said.
For customers who also want to fax from the same device, the Lexmark X502n is available for $699* and adds fax capability. PC Magazine said "the Lexmark X502n offers an impressive combination of speed, output quality and features," and gave the MFP a "very good" rating.
"Text quality is among the best available, which means the X502n can handle any text you need to print," PC Magazine said. PC Magazine also praised the graphics and photo quality of the X502n saying, "...the output is good enough for things like tri-fold brochures. I wouldn't hesitate to hand it to an important client or customer I wanted to impress with my professionalism."
