The Leaf personal light from Herman Miller, Inc., has received the prestigious distinction as China's "Most Successful Design" for 2007. The annual design competition is co-sponsored by FORTUNE China and China Bridge International (CBI), a leading design management firm.
"We are very proud that Leaf has been recognized by some of the world's most respected design experts," said Michael Murphy, Herman Miller International brand manager for lighting. "This acknowledgement of our design and innovation in China is a great honor."
Introduced in 2006, Leaf is an LED (light emitting diode) table-top light--a result of collaborative engineering and design development between Herman Miller and Yves Behar's San Francisco-based studio, fuseproject.
Award recipients will be featured in the magazine's December 2007 issue.
