At the biennial AIGA Design Conference held in Denver, AIGA Executive Director Richard Grefé and Denver Art Museum Director Lewis Sharp announced the appointment of Darrin Albert as the AIGA Assistant Curator for Graphic Design.
Albert will join the museum from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, where he was an assistant curator of architecture and design.
He will be responsible for the AIGA Design Archives, both in the initial registration and organization of the archival materials and in arranging exhibitions in the future.
The position has been funded for its first three years from donations to the AIGA Archives Fund.
