DESIGN OF BOTANIC GARDEN & ASSOCIATED STRUCTURES

This competition is launched by the Science Faculty of the Addis Ababa University, and the Addis Ababa City Administration, Environmental Protection Authority, with financial support from the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Addis Ababa.
The terms of reference and regulations are drawn up in conformity with the Association of Ethiopian Architects (AEA) Bye-law on Competitions, and have been approved by the Association of Ethiopian Architects.
The Gullele Botanic Garden is planned to be realized on a large tract of land, North West of the city of Addis Ababa, straddling the escarpment west of the pass on the Gojam road. The project is to be realized in three phases, with Phase I and II being the subject of this competition.
