The Language of Prints
The Blanton Museum of Art
April 22-August 17, 2008
This exhibition is planned to coincide with the 2008 annual meeting of the Print Council of America, to be hosted by the Blanton in May 2008.
This meeting, the first in Texas in the 50 years of the Council, will focus on the Blanton’s print collection, widely recognized as one of the largest and most distinctive collections of prints on any university campus. The exhibition will include 100-120 of the museum’s finest prints, exemplifying multiple major techniques of printmaking and exploring the ways in which these fascinating works on paper reflect the culture of the time. This exhibition is organized by the Blanton Museum of Art.
Curated by Jonathan Bober, curator of prints, drawings, and European paintings.
