Macau, China – LG Electronics (LG), a worldwide technology leader in mobile communications, is showcasing its latest products and future technologies for the Asian market at GSMA Mobile Asia Congress in Macau from November 12 through 15.
One of the major attractions will be the company’s newest high-end camera phone, the LG Viewty (LG-KU990), LG-KS20, a full touchscreen HSDPA smartphone and the Shine family with color variations will also be showcased.
“LG now looks to drive another mobile trend – focusing to high functionality handsets – just as we have led the design innovation in the mobile industry,” said Dr. Skott Ahn, President & CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.
“As the Asian market has been one of our key targets due to its great growth potential, we are very excited to introduce LG Viewty, the first of LG’s new high technology handsets, to Asia during GSMA Mobile Asia Congress 2007.”
LG Viewty, with its 5.0 megapixel camera, will have its official Asian launch at the show. It is designed to give users the fullest viewing experience with its professional-level digital camera technologies and 3.6Mbps HSDPA capability.
Starting with Hong Kong on November 22, LG Viewty will be launched in Singapore, South Africa, Malaysia, Taiwan, UAE and Thailand during November and will be available in most of Asia, the Middle East and Africa by end of this year.
Visitors to LG booth will experience LG’s other strikingly unique mobile phones as well, which are the combination of revolutionary technical features and distinctive designs.
The LG-KS20, LG’s brand-new HSDPA smartphone with a large color touchscreen will also be making its debut in the Asian market.
Its super-fast network access capabilities will be demonstrated at LG’s booth during the exhibition, and visitors will see the company’s intuitive touch input technology which enriches the mobile internet experience for users. With speed and usability, LG’s commitment to lead 3G mobile technology is stronger than ever.
LG’s booth will also feature its multimillion-selling Shine phone. The second handset in LG’s premium Black Label series now suits up with more color variations, but still boasting its real metal exterior and mirrored style. Shine phones in Pink, Gold and Titanium black will be on display, along with Shine’s 3G version, the KU970 and bar-type Shine phone, KE770.
GSMA Mobile Asia Congress (formerly 3GSM World Congress Asia) is the sister event to the annual Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the largest, most significant and most successful global mobile event in the world.
