The GDC Foundation will support the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada in attaining its goals for developing the profession, improving the human environment, and supporting designers.
The Foundation will allow the GDC to accomplish more than it can achieve on its own. It will help fund special projects, allow benevolent support such as scholarships and short-term financial grants for designers experiencing extreme hardship, and it will help increase awareness of GDC and the role it plays in promoting high standards of design and ethical business practices.
It will help raise awareness of the role graphic design plays in Canadian industry, commerce, public service and education.
