Everything from illustrating comps that will be used as design concepts for store windows, to free-handing illustrations that will be used as CD covers, your outstanding illustration skills will be utilized in every capacity that makes out client one of the largest and most reputable retailers in the industry.
If a high-end, modern design esthetic speaks to your style and you have the skills to put your ideas on paper, we are interested in hearing from you.
Selected Duties:
Take a concept and design style to create comps that speak to the indicated style.
Be able to take direction and execute efficiently and effectively.
Free-hand illustrations with a high-level understanding of color usage and design concepts.
Use your experience and design sense to create a "look and feel" for high-end retailers.
Requirements:
BA in graphic design or related field.
1-3 years of professional illustration experience within the retail industry (high-end retailers preferred).
Must have a design sense that speaks to the retail industry.
Must have examples of work where you have used your keen sense of color.
Be able to share samples of your illustrations, especially for retail clients.
Expert level experience translating illustrations from paper to illustrator files.
Proficiency in CS2 or CS3 Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
You MUST upload samples of your work to the Aquent website for review.
Personal portfolio website with examples of PROFESSIONAL work highly desirable.
Must live in the Bay Area.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organization skills and highly detail-oriented.
Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks.
Ability to take direction and learn quickly.
