D-Link, the end-to-end networking solutions provider for consumer and business, unveiled "D-Life™," a user focused extension of the D-Link product offering where everything just works simply and effortlessly via an easy to use website (www.d-life.com). The D-Life website is designed to provide customers an easier way to experience a connected, digital lifestyle.
The D-Life website leverages Web. 2.0 connectivity and community, allowing users to easily manage their D-Life world via an online, customizable interface that can be accessed anytime, anywhere the user has Internet access. The ground-breaking site, which has been in development for the past several years, takes the work out of installation and management of devices by offering the following user experience:
Connect
To set up the product the user follows these steps
Organize
Users manage and organize their D-Life products and D-Life services from one central place, via an easy to navigate website
Empower
Users get more from their digital products then ever before
The growing list of D-Life-Enabled products will include networking, communication and security solutions designed to enhance the digital lives of users. The combination of the D-Life-Enabled products and the D-Life site will provide seamless interaction between the user and their products and between the user and other 'D-Lifers'.
The D-Life experience will evolve to enable users to view and share news, weather and topics of interest, as well as post content relative to their digital experiences.
"D-Life represents a shift from a hardware-centric focus to one that is based on consumer product usage and services. With D-Life-Enabled products and the D-Life website, everything just works. It's true plug and play, making it easier to manage and support D-Link products," said Steven Joe, President and CEO, D-Link Systems, Inc. "With this new user experience, even the most novice technical user can access, enjoy and define their digital lifestyle with ease."
The first D-Life products will be demonstrated this week at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in the D-Link booth, #36212, South Hall, Las Vegas Convention Center. Stage presentations will also be given from the D-Link booth throughout the CES show every hour.
"D-Link has always strived to be a forward-looking, innovative company and offering our customers a superior Web 2.0 experience to make our products easier to access and enjoy is no exception," said Joe. "Our D-Life initiative lets customers leverage D-Link products and services so they can get more from their digital life. We're pleased to offer an exciting streamlined experience that allows our customers to communicate, share and learn."
