The innovative new series of designer nights launched for the automotive design community has been strengthened by the partnership of Interior Motives magazine with the founder of AutoDesignNight, Paul Raindle. The partnership brings together the combined insight and resources of Ultima Media, publisher of Interior Motives, and PDRCo, Paul Raindle’s automotive business innovation provider.
AutoDesignNight is the new brand for the designer nights which are attended by the world’s leading automotive designers and which are to be held at selected leading international motor shows. Starting with the designer’s night on 4 March 2008 in Geneva, they will continue this year with events alongside the London and Paris motor shows.
“These social-professional network events are an important element in the way that the world’s key designers interact with each other,” commented Paul Raindle.
“Whether it is to chat about shared experiences, exchange professional ideas or just relax together, each AutoDesignNight will provide a location and an environment for our design community to enjoy. It also offers our partners the opportunity to be associated with essential events within the motor show calendar.”
AutoDesignNight will also look to carry forward the message of sustainability within vehicle design, emphasising in particular:
Environment - the effect on the industry and how design can play a major role; and
Education - growing the high skill levels required within the design industry.
The forthcoming 2008 events have already been exclusively endorsed by the organisers of the Geneva International Motor Show and by the organisers of the British International Motor Show.
"Our current conference and awards events around the world are recognised within the design sector as focal meeting places for delegates,” added Simon Timm, Chairman of Ultima Media. “We believe this new series of professional yet relaxed designer nights will be welcomed as a respite from the intensity of the motor shows. We see this partnership as delivering real value for the industry.”
