Half-a-million is a very big number. That’s how many times customers of Time Warner Cable San Antonio watched News 4’s (WOAI-TV/NBC, San Antonio) exclusive “Video On Demand” service in 2007 on Time Warner Cable digital channel 989.
News 4’s Video On Demand allows Time Warner Cable digital customers to watch News 4’s local newscasts, San Antonio Living and Sports Sunday at any time. Viewers simply go to channel 989 and select which News 4 program they want to watch for free.
“Video On Demand is all about giving News 4 viewers control of their time, allowing them to watch our local programs when it’s convenient for them and their families,” said Aaron Ramey, news director at News 4. “It’s a service and technology that truly gives people more control of their lives and busy schedules.”
Time Warner Cable’s On Demand technology has revolutionized the way San Antonians watch television. With more than 30 free On Demand channels, viewers can watch the programs they want to watch on their time and as many times as they want.
"Time Warner Cable’s significant investment in advanced technologies such as Video On Demand continues to distinguish us in the market,” said Jon Gary Herrera, vice president of governmental and public affairs for Time Warner Cable San Antonio.
