Greater St. Louis Works is administered by the St. Louis Regional Chamber and Growth Association (RCGA) in partnership with WorkforceStLouis2.0, the IT Coalition of Innovate St. Louis, the Workforce Investment Boards of St. Louis County, the City of St. Louis, and St. Charles County, and other state and local partners. The initiative’s goal is to make sure that St. Louis can attract, develop, and retain the IT talent needed to compete in the global economy.
To support their goals, Greater St. Louis Works has chosen Roundedcube to assist in the strategy, design and development of a new website located at www.greaterstlouisworks.org. The new website will be preceded by a “splash” page intended to help communicate the plans of the organization as well as initiate feedback and involvement from the St. Louis business community right away.
The complete version of the website, currently underway, will continue to focus on the evolving IT talent strategy being developed by Greater St. Louis Works. In addition, the website will focus on the people and companies that are at the forefront of the IT industry in St. Louis and provide career resources and networking opportunities to those looking to get involved in IT.
Roundedcube is utilizing an open source portal framework plus the Microsoft ASP.NET 2.0 platform to implement the website. Coupled with a flexible user interface design, this approach will ensure versatility in that the website will be able to grow and evolve along with minimal effort.
