As Hollywood celebrities ready to hit the red carpet at this February’s award shows, Ford is announcing that Krystal Enterprises is once again the top volume limousine and livery Qualified Vehicle Modifier (QVM). Krystal Enterprises earned the award for the seventh consecutive time, a clean sweep since the prestigious program was conceived.
“We are proud of our longstanding relationship and partnership with Krystal Enterprises and appreciate the premium image that Krystal conversions create for the Lincoln Town Car and our SUVs. It’s a tribute to the entire Krystal team that they have been the only QVM coachbuilder to earn the QVM title for the limousine and livery industry since the introduction of the award,” said Kevin Koswick, director, Ford North American Fleet, Lease, and Remarketing Operations.
“Our QVM coachbuilders are dedicated to delivering the highest quality products for the limousine and livery industries, helping make Krystal Enterprises and the Lincoln Town Car the industry leader,” stated Doug Walczak, Ford’s Limousine and Livery Manager.
“Krystal is dedicated to delivering high-quality, luxurious vehicles for the limousine and funeral industry, and Ford provides the industry-leading products for us to accomplish this,” said Ed Grech, president & CEO of Krystal Enterprises. “We are extremely proud of our long-term relationship with Ford Motor Company and the QVM program.
“Krystal Enterprises is proud to showcase its extensive line of superior vehicles. As the world’s largest manufacturer of stretch limousines and a top producer of professional vehicles and luxury mid-size buses, Krystal remains committed to quality, safety and customer satisfaction.”
According to the National Limousine Association, the growing limo/livery industry has nearly 9,500 companies nationwide, operating approximately 131,600 vehicles from sedans to super-stretch SUVs and tour buses, and serving 1.38 billion passengers annually. There are an estimated additional 2,500 limo/livery operators around the world. The annual gross revenue for operators in the United States is $2.4 billion and the industry’s suppliers (i.e., vehicle modifiers) take in $2 billion in annual sales.
Ford dominates the limousine and livery business with more than 80 percent market share. Ford recently introduced a Mercury Mariner Hybrid livery package that is quickly becoming a popular choice for Hollywood awards’ shows, politicians and other environmentally minded influential customers. The Environmental Protection Agency rates Mariner Hybrid at 34 mpg in city driving and 30 on the highway.
Krystal’s state-of-the-art facilities in Brea, California utilize cutting-edge systems and the highest quality workmanship to produce only the finest specialty vehicles available in the market today. Armed with a legendary reputation as an innovative leader in occupant safety and overall design, Krystal Enterprises continues to lead the transportation industry into the future, as it has done for the past 25 years.
