Royal Gold Medal 2008 Lecture
RIBA, 66 Portland Place, London W1B 1AD
13 February 2008
The 2008 Royal Gold Medal will be presented to Edward Cullinan on 12 February in recognition of his outstanding and ongoing contribution to architecture. The Royal Gold Medal is approved personally by Her Majesty the Queen and is given annually to a person or group of people whose influence on architecture has had a truly international effect.
Edward Cullinan will present the Royal Gold Medal lecture in which he will cover the period of his life as a practising architect, from the 1950s until now.
'It will touch on what was going on in the world during each decade as well as what I was doing: and it might even touch aspects of the thirties and mid-forties, which I can remember.'
