Alliance Fracaise SG Private Banking Gallery, Singapore
March 13 - 29 2008
Didier Bayle is a French artist who expresses his point of view of Asia through watercolour. Having based in Macau for several years, Bayle had given his architectural and streets impressions a fresh coat of paint with Asian influences.
Sometimes penned simply as ‘Rafael’, Bayle has an extensive collection of street scenes and architectural buildings not only of Asia, but also of America and Europe.
Displaying most of his recollections of Singapore, Didier had set out to paint some of Singapore’s impressionistic streets such as Little India, Chinatown, and the iconic pre-war Black and White houses.
Wandering (Water)Colour In & Around Singapore begins from 13th March to 29th March 2008 as part of the Francophonie Festival 2008 at the SG Private Banking Gallery, Alliance Française de Singapour. Part of the sales proceeds from this exhibition goes to a non-profitable cultural association for children based in France - l’Atelier de Garouda.
This exhibition is co-presented by the French Embassy and Société Générale, sponsored by Air France, and supported by Association Française de Singapour.
