Position Description:
Researches, develops and writes documentation components for a software developer audience. Completed documentation components must demonstrate an understanding of programming documentation principles and development, describe complex state-of-the-art software architectures, and describe how to develop software applications using the Software Developer Kits/Device Driver Kits or developer tool being documented. Derives documentation from project source code as part of this process.
Qualifications:
The team is looking for an experienced programmer writer to develop compelling platform SDK content that helps an S/W developer to understand the platform and use it to easily integrate/develop compelling Web technologies. The successful candidate will work closely with a strong team of UA professionals who are committed to providing the platform SDK, Web articles, and other forms of content. Job: You will be expected to work closely with PM, Testers, and Developers across teams to learn the technology, their documentation needs, and to focus on content development accordingly. Developers are the primary audience for the documentation. Skills: The successful candidate has: *A strong aptitude to quickly learn complex technical concepts . Familiarity with C# or another programming language preferred *Solid problem-solving skills * Strong writing and communication skills * A proven track record of managing and delivering complex documentation projects. * The ability to identify common customer scenarios and to write content that supports the scenarios * Basic understanding of Web technologies, SOAP, Doc Studio is a plus. You must excel at collaborating closely with your immediate Dev, Test, and PM team, content stakeholders, and partners. You must be a flexible self-starter, working fairly independently, with a sharp focus on shipping high-quality customer-driven products and a desire to continually improve the content. Your talents include outstanding writing and content design skills, excellent technical and communication skills, proven ability to drive for and deliver high-quality results, and strong planning and coordination skills. You must be able to use those talents to accomplish great results in a timely manner. You are comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Your passions include a desire to understand and advocate for customer needs in our work, and to find innovative ways to help customers perform their work more efficiently and with greater satisfaction. Experience / Qualification: The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a communications-related field, information technology, or equivalent, Three or more years of experience developing assistance content for developers users in a variety of delivery formats including Web articles and SDKs.
