DuPont confirmed its commitment to the development of renewable energy at the recent European Business Summit in Brussels, Belgium, whose theme this year is ‘Greening the Economy – New Energy for Business.’
About 100 business leaders and policy-makers attended the summit – where the latest developments and views relating to business challenges and opportunities around climate change, energy policy and eco-innovation were discussed.
“We are facing global challenges that ultimately will affect the ‘liveability’ of our planet in the 21st century and it is the responsibility of the business community to respond positively and proactively to these challenges,” said Ian Hudson, president, DuPont Europe, Middle East & Africa. “We see this responsibility as a business opportunity and we have been pioneering the development of renewable energy through products involving solar and wind power.”
