February 2008
LivePerson, Inc. (Nasdaq: LPSN), a provider of online engagement solutions that facilitate real-time assistance and trusted expert advice, announced that LiveEngage, a feature included in its small & midsized business (SMB) products, has been named a finalist in the “Best Communication Solution” category of the 2008 Codie Awards presented by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA).
Using LivePerson’s user-friendly business rules engine, LiveEngage proactively invites website visitors to chat based on browsing behavior, including search keywords, geographic location and abandonment actions. This automatic application helps SMB organizations drive desired outcomes online, such as increased sales or improved customer service.
“At LivePerson, we understand that simply adding chat buttons throughout your website doesn’t mean visitors will chat,” said Philippe Lang, Vice President of LivePerson. “Knowing who, when and how to engage visitors is part art, part science and we’re proud that the Codie Awards judges value the importance of proactive engagement.”
Through a unique combination of journalist and peer review, the Codie Awards recognize 68 categories of outstanding products and services. This year’s 340 finalists were selected from more than 1,000 nominations submitted by 600+ companies.
“Competition is tough this year and that makes selection as a Codie Finalist a real achievement,” said Ken Wash, SIIA President. “All the companies on this year’s list should feel justifiably proud of their recognition.”
