Team Saatchi Wins Arcelormittal Brand Campaign

PRESS RELEASE

March 2008

ArcelorMittal has appointed Team Saatchi to help it become one of the world’s most attractive employers, after a three-way pitch. Team Saatchi will develop a communications campaign to attract talented employees to ArcelorMittal at the same time strengthening and developing its corporate brand awareness and reputation.

The global campaign will launch in May 2008.

In June 2006 Arcelor and Mittal Steel merged to become the world’s largest steel company. With 310,000 employees in more than 60 countries, it is also one of the 30 biggest employers in the world.

Sophie Hooper, Managing Director at Team Saatchi, said, "The merger of Arcelor and Mittal has created a powerhouse brand in the steel industry. Our task is to help them attract a diverse and highly skilled workforce, the crème de la crème of graduates, MBAs, engineers and international business managers, to drive their business vision of transforming tomorrow.”

Anthony Old, global branding manager at ArcelorMittal, commented:

“Team Saatchi demonstrated an understanding of the complex nature and needs of our business. They will work with us to attract talent into the business by building an employer brand that is exciting, dynamic and ultimately appealing to prospective employees.”
