March 2008
House of Fraser officially opens its flagship store in High Wycombe’s new Eden development which, at 100,000 sq. ft., is the largest store in the centre.
House of Fraser High Wycombe brings four floors of beauty and accessories, ladieswear, menswear, childrenswear, home furnishings and electricals to the town, with many of the brands previously unavailable in the local area. The store also includes a Caffé Nero and a Café Zest which has its own dedicated outdoor terrace area.
The opening of the High Wycombe store is part of an exciting year for House of Fraser, which has gone from strength to strength since the acquisition by the Highland Group in 2006. There are three other new store openings in high profile locations this year alone. High Wycombe follows on from the record-breaking opening of House of Fraser Belfast on 6th March, with launches in Bristol’s Cabot Circus in September and the Westfield shopping mall in London’s White City at the end of 2008 still to come.
“We are delighted to welcome our first customers to the brand new High Wycombe store today, and are confident they will enjoy a unique shopping experience with top brands, many of which were not previously available in High Wycombe” said John King, Chief Executive of House of Fraser. “The High Wycombe launch is part of an exciting phase in House of Fraser’s growth as we undertake an ambitious three year investment programme which involves the opening of new stores, building our transactional website www.houseoffraser.co.uk, and further enhancing our brand offering.”
