CYA Technologies, the leading provider of complete granular recovery solutions for enterprise content management (ECM) systems, announced the availability of CYA SmartRecovery 3.0, which provides hot backup and granular recovery of ECM content and metadata for users of IBM FileNet P8 4.0.

CYA SmartRecovery 3.0 for FileNet P8 4.0 protects FileNet P8 customers against more than 80% of all information loss incidents, which result from common, everyday occurrences such as programmatic, human, and logical errors, malfeasance, and metadata corruption.

CYA SmartRecovery enables one, several, or thousands of lost or corrupt objects to be restored back into the P8 repository in their original state without any application downtime, and with minimal IT resources. CYA SmartRecovery 2.0, launched last year, is also available to support IBM FileNet P8 3.5 environments.

CYA SmartRecovery gives IBM FileNet P8 users confidence in the integrity of their repository information by performing hot, synchronous backups that preserve the relationships between content and its associated metadata (audit trails, digital signatures, renditions, etc.).

Data Integrity Module: Empowers administrators to perform preventative repository maintenance. Proactively conducts over 70 checks that identify referential integrity issues at the application level that typically exist in repositories (i.e. broken relationships between a document and its associated lifecycles).

Automatic Record Purge: Facilitates compliance with global records retention policies by triggering automatic, permanent deletion of records from CYA Capture Sets after a specified retention period.

Time-based Recovery: Empowers organizations to perform hot backups using traditional disaster recovery solutions without jeopardizing the synchronicity of content and metadata. In the event of a system failure, minimizes the data loss window to minutes.

Web-based Central Management Console: Enables all CYA SmartRecovery operations including granular recovery, job monitoring, and job scheduling to be managed from any location.
