Lightscape Technologies Inc., a provider of large scale LED screens and installations, LED lighting design solutions, and advanced lighting products, announced that it has commenced its first installation of a large scale LED advertising screen in Hong Kong.
The LED screen is being installed in the main footbridge connected to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre ('HKCEC') under an agreement with Polytown Company Limited, a subsidiary of the New World Group. Lightscape will pay a fixed rental fee and earn all of the revenue generated from advertising sales. Targeted advertisers include exhibitors participating in events held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, as well as proximate restaurants and retail establishments.

The LED screen will be approximately 4.1 square meters in size (approximately 44.1 square feet). The installation will include Lightscape's proprietary Multimedia and Video Control System software. This system consists of PC-based software and LED controlled hardware which enables the authoring, control and playback of the advertising content displayed on the LED screen.
The location of the LED screen is the busy foot-traffic hub linking the HKCEC to the New World Renaissance Hotel, the Hong Kong subway system and other major commercial areas of central Hong Kong.
Installation of the LED screen is scheduled to be completed by the end of April.
