AT&T Inc. announced that the AT&T U-verseSM Theatre channel on AT&T U-verse TV has been awarded a 2008 Silver Telly Award for the direct marketing award category. The Telly Awards recognize creative excellence in video commercials and productions, and the Silver Telly statuette is the Telly Award's highest honor.
The AT&T U-verse Theatre channel gives all U-verse TV customers access to exclusive red carpet events, behind-the-scenes tours of production and animation studios, movie trailers and interviews with popular celebrities. The channel also delivers the latest information on U-verse TV Video On Demand offerings.
The AT&T U-verse Theatre segment that received the Silver Telly Award aired throughout December 2007 and featured a behind-the-scenes tour of Pixar Animation Studios and interviews with the studios' artists. The segment was used to promote the premiere of Disney•Pixar's Academy Award®-winning feature film, Ratatouille, on AT&T U-verse TV Video On Demand.

The Telly Awards annually showcases the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, video operators and corporate video departments in the world.
With more than 200 award categories, the 29th Telly Awards competition received more than 14,000 entries from all 50 states and several foreign countries.
