Alfredo Duran Named Senior Vice President, Branded Services and General Manager
PRESS RELEASE

April 2008

Highly respected and Emmy Award-winning veteran television executive Alfredo Duran has been named Senior Vice President, Branded Services, and General Manager of The Warner Channel Latin America. The announcement was made today by Jeffrey R. Schlesinger, President, Warner Bros. International Television.

Duran will be based in Miami and will report to Malcolm Dudley-Smith, who as Executive Vice President, Sales & Business Development for Canada, Latin America & Asia, oversees WBITD's branded linear and nonlinear channels in these areas.

"We are thrilled to have an executive of Alfredo's expertise overseeing our channel in Latin America," said Schlesinger. "His extensive experience in the Latin American television marketplace will prove invaluable as we not only take the Warner Channel to the next level, but as we execute our aggressive strategy of rolling out WBTV-branded nonlinear SVOD and AVOD channels and themed online destinations for exhibition on new media platforms, including interactive digital cable, IPTV, broadband and mobile."

"I'm honored to join the Warner Channel, a market leader in Latin America, at this very exciting time," added Duran. "Working with Warner Bros.' excellent programming and carving a future for the channel in the multi-platform landscape is a dream come true for a TV fanatic like myself."

Duran has nearly 30 years of television experience and most recently served as Executive Vice President & General Manager, E! Entertainment Television Latin America, a post he has held for the past eight years. Prior to that, he served as Vice President, Programming & Marketing for MGM Networks Latin America, and Vice President, Managing Director for WAMI-TV (Miami). Before that, he spent six years as President & Publisher of EXITO Magazine, a Tribune-owned weekly magazine serving South Florida's Hispanic community and which had a companion Emmy Award-winning televised series on which Duran served as co-anchor and executive producer.

Duran began his career as an intern in the newsroom at Univision's WLTV-TV (Miami). He moved to the promotions department shortly thereafter, and worked his way up to Promotions Director at the station. He had a brief stint as Public Affairs Producer at WSVN-TV (Miami) before returning to WLTV-TV as Executive Producer, Special Events and, later, Station Manager. In 1988, he was named Vice President & General Manager of Telemundo's WSCV-TV (Miami).

The Warner Channel is a linear branded programming service delivering movies, television series and more to some 25 million homes in 24 countries throughout Latin America. Programming available via Warner Channel includes current television programs Without a Trace, Two and a Half Men, ER, Gossip Girl, Chuck, Smallville, Supernatural and The New Adventures of Old Christine, among others; library series including Friends, The West Wing and The O.C., among others; and feature films including Se7en and Interview with the Vampire, among many others.
