Bang & Olufsen customers are used to being spoiled with outstanding sound and pictures. Of late, however, a number of Norwegian customers have also had their taste buds tickled as Bang & Olufsen Norway has arranged chocolate tastings in a range of shops.
So far, six shops have had visits from Chef Sverre Sætre, who is on the Norwegian national team, and has just started his own bakery café. At the Bang & Olufsen stores, Sverre Sætre talks about chocolate and how it is made. He also presents some poor and high quality chocolates to taste so as to demonstrate how much the quality of the raw materials influence the taste experience; the obvious parallel being of course to Bang & Olufsen products, which are made from genuine, high-quality materials like high-grade aluminium and glass.
"It has been a great success, and customers have been very enthusiastic. Typically, there have been between 20 and 45 customers in the stores. We have therefore met quite a lot of customers through this series of events," says PR Manager Merete Jørgensen Holth.
Later this month, two more stores in Norway will invite some of their very best customers to a chocolate tasting.
