Siemens Home and Office Communication Devices (SHC) has incorporated the benefits of new ECO DECT technology in its successful cordless phones Gigaset E450 and Gigaset E455 SIM. Both phones are shock, splash and dust resistant. The Gigaset E455 SIM also integrates an answering machine and a SIM card reader. Thanks to ECO DECT technology, the new models consume 60 percent less power than their predecessors while significantly reducing transmitting power. The rugged cordless phones are perfect for families with children or for use in a workshop or the garden.
The user-friendly models Gigaset E450 and Gigaset E455 SIM are made to cope with all the stress and strain of everyday use. They stand out with their functional design, excellent quality and ruggedness. The rubber seals running around the handset and a membrane inside reliably protect the interior against dirt and splashes. The phones comply with the DIN IP 54 standard. That means they can easily withstand a light rain shower, or dust and shavings in a hobby workroom.
The integrated speaker phone with volume control maximizes convenience and flexibility. If desired, a headset can be plugged into the 2.5 millimeter jack on the Gigaset E45 handset. That makes it easy for users to make calls while cooking or doing the ironing, for example. A six-line color display, an illuminated keypad and the intuitive icon-based menu system ensure the necessary ease of use. In addition, SMS text messages with up to 640 characters can be sent. The integrated phonebook offers plenty of space for storing contact data (up to 150 entries). People who spend a lot of time on the phone will also appreciate the talk time of up to twelve hours and a standby time of as much as 160 hours.
The Gigaset E455 SIM has an integrated digital answering machine that can record up to 35 minutes of voice messages and can be operated easily from the cordless phone’s handset. The integrated SIM card reader enables phonebook entries to be swapped with a mobile phone. The charging cradle of the Gigaset E455 is separate from the base station and can be mounted on the wall.
