Twenty-six fashion students from the Savannah College of Art and Design will see their senior projects go from the SCAD fashion show runway to retail display May 30-June 16 at Saks Fifth Avenue in Phipps Plaza, Atlanta.
Michael Fink, vice president of women's fashion for Saks, selected each garment from more than 100 undergraduate and graduate student designs while serving as a juror for SCAD's 2008 Fashion Show. The designs he chose will be featured in window displays and throughout the retail space at Saks.
The annual Fashion Show is the culmination of SCAD Style, the college's month-long series of style and design events highlighting programs of study including fashion, interior design and architecture. The series kicked off with the annual SCAD Style Étoile Awards, which honored interior designer and potter Jonathan Adler, Elle Décor Editor-in-chief Margaret Russell and fashion designer Pierre Cardin.
