Professional Photography Studios Benefit from Extensis Portfolio Solution
PRESS RELEASE
May 2008
Extensis, a division of Celartem Inc., announced highly-respected professional photographers that trust their image collections to Extensis’ digital asset management solution Portfolio. The list includes Steve McCurry, best known for his award-winning color photography, Mary Ellen Mark, who was voted the most influential woman photographer by American Photo Magazine, and Scott Markewitz, who has been recognized as one of the world’s greatest adventure photographers.
McCurry, Mark and Markewitz have teams of staffers responsible for managing the hundreds of thousands of images they have amassed during their careers. By importing digital versions of their work into Portfolio, their image library can be key worded, sorted for ‘finals’, and easily archived or distributed. Markewitz also appreciates that he can view his images as easily on location as if he were in the studio by remotely accessing his Portfolio catalog.
“I often get requests from clients for my images,” says photographer Mary Ellen Mark. “Portfolio’s extensive archiving and retrieval capabilities enable my staff to find the right image in a timely and efficient manner and track its usage.”
Steve McCurry adds, “The work is hardly finished once the shutter closes on an image. Portfolio ensures efficient management of my images once they arrive back in the studio, from editing to archiving.”
Extensis Portfolio Server 8.5 provides powerful Mac and Windows clients, a complete web publishing solution and integration for CS3® applications.
