June 2008
Chris Riley, Managing Director, OgilvyOne Singapore announced OgilvyOne has been appointed by Cisco Systems as its regional agency of record. This appointment follows a final round of pitching that included TBWA\Tequila, Tribal/DDB and Bates and will mark the first time a regional agency of record has been appointed by Cisco.
Commenting on the appointment, Anthony Elvey, Senior Manager, Brand and Marketing Services APAC, Cisco Systems said:"The thing that stood out about Ogilvy was the quality of the people and the strength of the regional network, both of which were what we value in an agency partner."
In a pitch that saw the network combining its efforts both regionally and globally, the win marks another key milestone in the Ogilvy’s relationship with Cisco, which continues to grow and expand in influence. Responsibility for brand and demand generation work across APAC will now rest firmly with Ogilvy. This builds on existing relationships in many markets including China and India.
Said Riley: “As an existing agency partner of Cisco, our knowledge and our understanding of the brand were no doubt an asset in the pitch. We are delighted that we have been handed the opportunity to take Cisco to the next stage of its marketing development and look forward to further success in partnership with them.”
Taking on the Regional Lead on the Cisco business will be Anne Davis, who is also Deputy Managing Director OgilvyOne Singapore and Regional Digital Director, OgilvyOne Asia Pacific.
