CALL FOR ENTRIES

The 2008 Taiwan International Design Competition is inviting submissions from professional and student designers internationally.

Organised by the Taiwan Design Center (TDC), this year’s competition theme is “In/Out”. The Professional Category will evaluate product design submissions, while the student categories include Product Design, Visual Design and Digital Animation. In the Visual Design Category, selections will be made according to a defined system: Creativity 50%; Composition, Aesthetics, Design Completeness 30%, Technique 20%

1 July 2008, 24:00 Taipei local time (GMT+08:00)

Prizes:

Professional Section

Gold 1 winner/ NT$500 000 (approx USD $16 500) in prize money and a certificate

Silver 1 winner/ NT$200 000 (approx USD $6 500) in prize money and a certificate

Bronze 1 winner/ NT$100 000 (approx USD $3 300) in prize money and a certificate

Honorable Mention numbers of winner/ NT$10 000 (approx USD $330) in prize money and a certificate

Student Section

Gold 1 winner/ NT$400 000 (approx USD $13 000) in prize money and a certificate

Silver 1 winner/ NT$200 000 (approx USD $6 500) in prize money and a certificate

Bronze 1 winner/ NT$100 000 (approx USD $3 300) in in prize money and a certificate

Honorable Mention numbers of winner/ NT$10 000 (approx USD $330) in prize money and a certificate
