Porsche Design Products Win the "red dot Award"

PRESS RELEASE

June 2008

This year's "red dot design award" competition saw many Porsche Design products honored for their innovative design: the "Bounce:S" premium running shoe, the P'6750 Worldtimer watch, the P'8802 reading glasses and the P'7340 kitchen. The badge of quality for good design is awarded every year by an international expert jury made up of well known design experts. The prize award ceremony took place on June 23, 2008 in Essen/Germany.

"Bounce:S" Premium Running Shoe
The appearance of the "Bounce:S" premium running shoe is characterized by technical metal spring damping and a purist mesh fabric that makes up the upper of the shoe. Unlike more traditional running shoes, which lose energy through thick, compact foam elements, this running shoe has metal spring damping - developed by adidas - which gives more force back to the runner and thus ensures calm and even running. The shoe has already been recognized with the "Plus X Award 2008", Europe`s biggest technology, sport and lifestyle competition in May 2008.

P'6750 Worldtimer
The P'6750 Worldtimer combines purist design with innovative technology - it simultaneously shows the time in two different time zones. A special module extends the work of the watch with an intelligent world time function. When changing time zones, the mechanical-digital reference time is transferred to the central hands simply by pressing a button - without loosing a second. The design of the Worldtimer watch was also honored in March 2008 with the renowned "iF Product Design Award".

P'8802 Reading Glasses
The P'8802 reading glasses offer unlimited reading enjoyment, even in strong sunlight thanks to their reactive lenses. The innovative bow design means that the P'8802 also folds extremely flat.

P'7340 Poggenpohl Porsche Design Kitchen
The kitchen is based on varying sized frames made of aluminum profiles, which can be tailored individually for you. The kitchen gets an innovative and technical appeal from the use of aluminum, a typical material for Porsche Design. Alongside multifunctional lighting systems that blend harmoniously into the clear overall concept, the kitchen also has a high-tech audio-video system. The kitchen won an "iF Gold Award" in March 2008.

All Porsche Design brand products are created in the Design Studio in Zell am See, Austria. Since its foundation in 1972, the products designed there have won more than 100 national and international design prizes and awards.
