Job Description:
Position Summary and Responsibilities:
This role is to manage a high volume of diverse photography assets and services across the client's organization in an often fast-paced environment with rapidly shifting priorities. The Ideal candidate will be able to skillfully manage projects, photo edit, and be responsible for ingesting images into the asset management system, while working under the creative direction of the Visual Communications Senior Photo Editor.
Being part of a small, in-house creative team requires the flexibility to wear multiple hats and the necessity to keep tight schedules. Specific areas of responsibility include:
Hands-on Editing/Production
The ability to edit in a photojournalist style with a heavy focus on storytelling
Edit of all photos in our archives collaborate with staff and vendors on all client projects requiring photography
Edit, color correct, and convert new digital files sent from photographer in the field or on location
Archive and organize materials into asset management system
Respond to, or oversee fulfillment of, a stream of daily photo requests from client staff, reporters, and consultants

Qualifications:
They are looking for a proven professional with a sharp eye, superlative technical skills, and a passion for storytelling. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, hands-on photo editor. Candidate will have a keen awareness of our issues, values, and visual sensibilities and possess a strong aptitude for both subtle and overt forms of visual storytelling.

Great communicator and consummate diplomat; adept at negotiating consistently high-quality results under tight deadlines, while maintaining the enthusiasm and engagement of contractors/vendors.
Proven ability to create long- and short-term goals; extremely organized with demonstrated success at managing a high-volume of simultaneous requests ability to prioritize and then reshuffle priorities with grace and ease.
Intellectual quickness, curiosity, discipline, and resourcefulness, with mature judgment and calm under stressful conditions.
Ability to work with flexibility, efficiency, enthusiasm, and diplomacy, both individually and as part of a complex team effort.
Both responsiveness and patience for handling fire drills and often long review cycles.
Our ideal candidate would have an eye for design and will be digitally savvy with 4 13 6 years previous photo-editing experience.
Previous File and asset management are required.
Strong Photoshop skills with and understanding of metadata.
4 - 6 years experience working as professional photojournalist or in photographic role is preferred.
