Singapore’s fastest growing digital media agency, Yolk announced the official opening of U5OK YOLK, Yolk’s first overseas branch outside of Singapore.
U5OK YOLK is a joint venture with Bangkok based agency U5OPPORTUNITYKNOCKS (U5OK). The office is headed by managing director Paul Leenutaphong, who was formerly marketing director of Peugeot Thailand. He will be working very closely with Benjamin Tan, Yolk’s Chief Operating Officer.
U5OK YOLK will offer a full range of interactive and digital media services, combining both agencies’ creative talent and expertise in brand leadership and digital media communications. U5OK YOLK will work with several global brands to launch their Asian and international interactive campaigns. In addition, the new office will focus on the Thai market and also offer digital innovation workshops to start ups in Thailand.
“With this new partnership with U5OK, we seek to bring the same kind of creative passion the company was founded upon to a larger client base,” said Prakash Somosundram, co founder of Yolk. “Our aim is to be a vital part of the design scene in Thailand, tap on the emerging creative talent abundant and to put back into the wider community through various Corporate Social Responsibility programs we have conceptualized as an agency in Singapore. In a nutshell, we hope to continue our award winning mentality overseas, while establishing solid friendships in the community.”

The new venture comes after Yolk’s recent win for best event website at the prestigious 12th Annual Webby Awards. The webby awards, Yolk was the only Asian winner outside of Japan and Korea to win the converted global award for its ‘gotcharacter?’ design campaign.
Since its inception in 2001, Yolk has been building up its reputation as Singapore’s leading digital media agency with creative campaigns for clients including MTV Asia, Kaplan, The Discovery Channel and The National Healthcare group Singapore.
