School of Visual Arts (SVA) presents “Cenacle: Reverie, Refurbishing, Revelry and Vice Versa” an exhibition of works by current students and recent alumni of the MFA Fine Arts Department. The exhibition is curated by faculty member Thomas Lanigan-Schmidt.
According to Lanigan-Schmidt, “An entire range from raucous revelry to quiet reverie counterpoints and complements each other. This is both Art and Culture at a crossroads refurbishing parameters of possibility into reality. The quality of the Art is the point, not a Procrustean bed of style. This Cenacle is the creative force of this group of young Artists.”
The artists whose work is featured in “Cenacle” include: Jenn Brantley, Tré Chandler, Brandon Davey, Claire Fox, Rebecca Goyette, Yuhi Hasegawa, Barry Hazard, Gregg Louis, David Mramor, Jabari Owens-Bailey, Rocio Rodriguez Salceda, Diana Santiago, Stacy Scibelli and Joanna Wezyk.
