Poggenpohl is expanding. The manufacturer of premium kitchens and several-time red dot winner intends to significantly increase its turnover over the next five years; the aim is an increase to approximately 200 million euros. Up to 60 additional company-owned sales studios are to open worldwide.
The company will set up new studios mainly in the metropolises of Europe and the US. “Poggenpohl is extremely well-equipped for continual growth with its clear concept,” said Elman Duffner, managing director of Poggenpohl.
Parallel to the approximately 420 dealer-operated kitchen studios, of which some 140 are selling the Poggenpohl brand exclusively, the German luxury brand manufacturer already has 31 company-owned sales studios. The most recent studios to open were in Atlanta, Birmingham, Dresden, and Vienna. In Germany, Poggenpohl already operates eight studios, located in Dresden, Hamburg (two), Münster, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, and Stuttgart. “Within four years we have more than doubled the number of our own studios,” explained Elmar Duffner.
The fact that an investment in design has played a significant role for such commercial success is indisputable: Poggenpohl not only stands for the innovative design kitchen “made in Germany” but also for international luxury and represents highest aesthetic and technical quality. For the excellent design of its kitchens Poggenpohl has received several distinctions in the red dot design award. Just this year the kitchen “P’7340”, a luxury kitchen developed by Poggenpohl in co-operation with Porsche Design, received the coveted red dot distinction.
The exclusive Poggenpohl Studios are located in the metropolises of important international markets. Besides the UK and the US, important foreign markets are Russia, China, India, and the United Arab Emirates. Poggenpohl’s export share is currently 75 percent. Premium kitchens by Poggenpohl are delivered to more than 70 countries.
